Program Completion Requirements

The following components must be satisfactorily completed to receive the Verification Statement, which qualifies the intern to sit for the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Examination:

Throwing Caps

  • All interns are required to satisfactorily complete a minimum of 1,000 supervised practice rotation hours.

  • All competencies, assignments, and evaluations must be satisfactorily met (a rating of at least a 3 on evaluations). Arrangements must be made to correct any area that was not satisfactorily completed.

  • The maximum amount of time for completing the program is 10 months from the start date. Interns who are unable to meet completion requirements within these 10 months will be terminated from the program unless there are extenuating circumstances. The program director reserves the right to make a final decision about the feasibility of an intern completing the internship.

  • All interns are required to maintain professional and ethical standards as outlined in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Code of Ethics.
